Shift Engineer Team Leader

4 on 4 off (days and nights – 18 day break after every 7 cycles)

Due to a huge plant expansion, a highly reputable organisation in Leyland are seeking multiple maintenance Team Leaders on shift. These positions would be ideal for mechanical, electrical or instrumentation bias individuals who want a secure opportunity who offer internal development and career prospects from day one.

The position:

The Shift Engineering Team Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of plant operations.

This position encompasses diverse responsibilities across multiple functions within the company, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet operational demands. During periods outside of core operating hours will assume responsibility for the site / teams.

Operating in accordance with our policies, procedures, and safety protocols the post holder will lead a team to uphold safety standards, optimize production processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following skills & experience:

You must have completed a formal engineering apprenticeship from within an industrial/ manufacturing/ process background.

You must come from a continuous process/ manufacturing environment and have a passion for minimising plant downtime using strong fault finding skills. 

Have experience in planned maintenance strategies (PPM) and have a strong focus towards continuous improvement.

Ideally 17^th or 18^th edition – Electrical bias people although this can be offered for the right candidate. Leadership/ Management experience is essential. This could have been obtained through project leadership, man-management, mentoring etc.
