CCTV Installation Technician – Night Shifts

Odin Recruitment is seeking an experienced CCTV Installation Technician to join a specialist installation team operating night shifts across sites in and around the Sheffield area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge surveillance and network technology in challenging and rewarding environments.

💼 Role Overview:

You’ll be working as part of a two-person mobile team, installing and configuring:

• Structured fibre and copper cabling
• IP CCTV cameras (including high-level bracket mounting)
• Wi-Fi access points and network hardware
• Data rack cabinets and structured systems
• Safety and monitoring infrastructure in pool and leisure facilities

You’ll also diagnose faults, test systems, and ensure high-quality and safety standards are upheld throughout installations.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installations
• ECS Gold Card
• IPAF 3a/3b & MEWP certification
• SMSTS and CNCI certification
• City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling
• Proven experience installing IP CCTV systems and structured cabling
• Data rack build and termination experience
• Comfortable working at heights and over water (must be a confident swimmer)
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and safely on site overnight

Desirable:

• Experience with network switches and Wi-Fi access point installation
• Familiarity with sub-bracketing and channel support systems
